Akron-Canton Airport
IGS publicly bid a national architectural firm’s signage specifications and was awarded the signage contract for the Akron-Canton Airport. After careful analysis of the customer’s needs and desires, our design team developed an alternative package. The new design made the entire signage package changeable and updateable, while incorporating architectural design elements from the airport that were already established. IGS designed and manufactured samples for both the specified bidding document signage package and an alternative signage package for the Airport’s review. After the owner reviewed both designs and was advised that there was no upcharge for the new value-engineered design, the Airport Director stated, “That is amazing, love it – do it!” The decision was made on the spot to proceed and IGS was to handle all the details. The project was completed on time and on budget.
Crystal Clinic
After manufacturing and installing signage for Crystal Clinic for approximately twenty years, we were given the opportunity to develop a new signage package to fit their current and future needs. Crystal Clinic was on a tight timeline to design, manufacture and install new signage for their buildings after an updated interior redesign occurred. We worked with the President and Chief Executive Officer to determine their needs and wants. After our initial consultation, IGS presented to Crystal Clinic within just a few days a completely new signage package. IGS was able to design, manufacture and install a complete facility within their timeline. The feature that sold Crystal Clinic was that the signs are 100% changeable and updateable. The project was completed on time and on budget.
KSU
IGS has been providing Kent State University signage for over twenty-five years. In working with a general contractor on a typical building project for Kent State University, we were awarded the signage contract for the Eastway Center Residence Halls. As the contract was nearing completion, the project team soon realized signage was needed for an additional building, which was not included in the original bid documents. These signs needed to be completed in the same timeframe as the original contract. This left IGS less than one week to manufacture an additional signage package which consisted of a few hundred ADA signs. The project was completed on time and on budget.
